In the heart of the Regional Park of the Causses of the Quercy lies Mas de Nadal. Mas de Nadal means: Nadal’s country seat. The 33ha of woodland and pasture contain a ruined hamlet and several "cazelles", old stone shep¬herd’s refuges. One of the houses dates from 1781. These are old farmhouses are built in the typical Périgordine style.
Our home is on the "causse", north of the valley of the River Célé, where the village of Sauli¬ac-sur-Célé lies on the hillside. The River Célé flows in to the River Lot. The capital of the Department of the Lot is Ca¬hors, well known for its delicious full bodied red wine.
Our park includes a valley with hills on either side rising to a height of approximately 300 metres, the campsite being situated on one of the hillsides. On the site the pitches have been constructed to blend sympathetically into the landscape. There is a choice of sunny, partially shaded or shady pitches.
The old barn dating from 1893, has been renovated to provide a small bistro. The terrace bar is largely covered to provide shade from the sun, or shelter from the occasional rain.
